Sudden Sky

Sudden SkyThis piece is in a group show this month at Collector in Berkeley along with 4 earlier works. Perhaps this piece is influenced by the West, but there is so much to absorb I think it will be a while before my art reflects what I see and feel in this new environment.

Reflection: 1. throwing back light without absorbing it, 2. serious thought or consideration.

This summer was an intense immersion in monoprinting for me. I hope you will visit the monoprint page on my website and check out my other new work:

Monoprint in Group Show

Regatta – 11″x14″ monoprint

A monoprint is an image painted on a plate and printed from the plate. One or sometimes two prints are made from the plate. I’m really enjoying creating art using this technique new to me. I have posted some monoprints on my website: > paintings > monoprints.

This piece has been selected for a juried show sponsored by the Art Students League of New York: Summer! Exhibition 2013.

Please join me on Wednesday, July 17th from 5 to 7 pm for the Artist Reception.

Changing perspective: we see the world as we see ourselves – a continuing spectrum fracturing and coalescing in unexpected ways – a fluid and dynamic process of self-reflection.
