Changing perspective: we see the world as we see ourselves – a continuing spectrum fracturing and coalescing in unexpected ways – a fluid and dynamic process of self-reflection.

Spark — #13

Perhaps . . .

Perhaps all creative manifestation is the result of a wild spark, spontaneous and nomadic, whose origin may elude us.

Here in the ‘northern latitudes,’ we are looking forward to the end of winter, to the onset of spring, and the return of vibrant colors in the earth and sky.

This painting was on exhibit at the Ceres Gallery in NYC last December in my show, Passage.

Quartet – January

Quartet

A couple of years ago in January, I used a ‘daily painters’ model painting a small piece every day. I met my goal of 2 weeks and 14 paintings.

I called the series Looking Upward, and each piece was given the title Skylight and a number.  These are 4 of my favorites, each 5” x 7.” It’s a good practice and fun when undertaken in a free and joyful way. “Beginner’s mind,” as a friend said to me recently.

Dreams

I'm In Their Dreams, AlsoI’m in their dreams . . . and they are in mine.

The expression of our consciousness does help maintain balance in the world as we work for peace, social justice, the environment, better communication or anything which moves us forward.

Dear Friends,

This year, instead of a holiday card I’m posting here. My exhibits this fall were very successful and I look forward to spending more time painting next year. I will continue sharing my pictures and updates on this blog. Thank you for your enthusiastic support for my work as an artist.

All best wishes for the holiday season and for the coming year!
